Weekend Rock Question: What Is the Best Concert Film of All Time?
Concert movies are often taken for granted at the time of their release but become very valuable over time – especially when they give viewers a chance to witness long-dead icons in their prime or bands who have since parted ways. Some films offer up raw, unfussy footage, while others, like Led Zeppelin‘s The Song Remains the Same and Talking Heads‘ Stop Making Sense, are super-stylized and say something about the artists’ character and personal aesthetic.
Our question for you this week is: What is the best concert movie of all time? Just to be clear, we’re not talking about documentaries – please vote for films where the emphasis is placed mainly on straight-up live performances.
