Puddle of Mudd Frontman Owes $60K in Back Taxes
Puddle of Mudd frontman Wesley Scantlin owes over $60,000 in back taxes, according to documents filed with the Los Angeles County Recorder's office. The documents show that the rocker failed to pay $44,726.23 in federal taxes in 2009, in addition to $17,323.51 in state taxes in California. Scantlin has not commented on the subject, but a source close to him has told TMZ that "the matter is being taken care of."
Scantlin has had a rough year. In addition to this tax issue, the singer filed for divorce from his wife of four years and Puddle of Mudd parted ways with guitarist Paul Phillips. Despite these setbacks, the band is currently at work on a new album, due out sometime in 2012.
