Michael Jackson Trial Will Not Include Unseen Footage
The judge in the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson, has shot down requests from both the prosecution and defense attorneys in the case to show unreleased rehearsal footage of the singer in court.
Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor ruled that the footage, which was condensed into the 2009 concert documentary This Is It, did not show Jackson in poor health, and that the footage was valuable and should not be shown publicly without good reason. Of the 100 hours of available footage, Murray's legal wanted to use about four hours, while the prosecution wanted to use up to 12 hours.

Though the unseen footage will not be used in the trial, which is set to begin with jury selection on September 8th in Los Angeles, Pastor will allow clips from the finished theatrical version of This Is It.
