Bob Seger Announces Fall Tour Dates
Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band have added new dates to the second leg of their 2011 North American Tour, which is set to kick off at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan on November 2nd. This round of dates will include performances at the newly renovated Madison Square Garden in Manhattan and the Orlando Calling festival in Florida, the rocker’s first large festival appearance in decades.

Seger’s tour itinerary – which will expand to include West Coast dates in the near future – isn’t quite as intense as it was in the old days, mainly due to the singer’s advancing age. “We’re just doing three shows a week because of my age,” Seger told Rolling Stone while out on tour earlier this year. “For the first time I’m sitting when I’m playing guitar. It hurts my back. I play two or three songs at the piano, but unusually, my back hurts worse at the piano. It’s really strange because it never did before. It’s just age. I’m getting up there.”
