Descendents, X, Dead Milkmen to Rock Riot Fest East
The Descendents, X and Dead Milkmen are set to headline Red Bull Riot Fest East at the Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia on September 24th. The one-day festival will also feature performances by Plow United, Hot Water Music, Suicide Machines, Samiam, Naked Raygun and several other punk bands. [Riot Fest]
Erasure Announces New Album and Tour
Synthpop legends Erasure will release Tomorrow’s World, their first album in four years, later this year. The album, which does not yet have an official release date, will be promoted with the duo’s first U.S. tour in five years. Erasure will kick off that tour with a show at The Ritz Ybor in Tampa, Florida on August 31st and wrap up at the Neptune in Seattle on October 6th. [Press release]
Beatles Tribute to Close on Broadway
Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles on Broadway will end its run at the Brooks Atkinson Theater on September 4th. After wrapping up on Broadway, the show will embark on a national tour though 2012. [NY Times]
Paul McCartney Adds More Dates
Paul McCartney‘s summer tour has expanded again, this time with additional concerts on July 27th at the Bell Centre in Montreal and August 1st at Chicago’s Wrigley Field. Tickets for both shows are on sale now. [Press release]
Fool’s Gold to Open Brooklyn Store
Fool’s Gold, the influential hip-hop label co-founded by Kanye West‘s DJ A-Trak, will open a retail space called 536 Metropolitan in Brooklyn on Friday, June 24th. The shop will feature Fool’s Gold releases and specially designed Fool’s Gold-branded clothing, headphones, electronics cases and more. [Press release]
