Kid Rock and Lady Antebellum Take Sides
The end of the Choose the Cover contest is drawing near! Voting in the competition will close on July 1st, so you only have one more week to choose either singer-songwriter Lelia Broussard or the boogie rock revivalists the Sheepdogs to win the grand prize – their faces on the cover of the August 18th issue of Rolling Stone and a contract with Atlantic Records.
Some of the biggest names in music have chosen sides in this contest and have met with the bands to give them advice and offer support. Kid Rock hung out with the Sheepdogs backstage at his show at the Borgata in Atlantic City, and country superstars Lady Antebellum met up with Lelia Broussard at the CMT studio in Nashville. You can check out their meetings in the videos below and choose a side – Kid Rock and the Sheepdogs, or Lady Antebellum and Lelia Broussard. The fate of these bands is in your hands, so vote today!
“The advice I’d give to you guys is, do exactly what you’re doing and tell everybody to fuck off,” Rock told the Sheepdogs. “Don’t let ’em try to change ya, and just be yourselves.”
“The first 18 months of your career are gonna be the craziest,” singer Hillary Scott told Broussard. “The first 18 months of our career was nuts, but then you just hit pockets of busy moving forward. Your gauge of normal will change, like ‘There’s only five interviews today?'”
