Kanye West and Lil Wayne Work on Mystery Project
According to tweets by Young Money house engineer Mike Banger and rapper Short Dawg, Lil Wayne and Kanye West were in the studio together on Sunday night. It’s unknown what the two were working on, but it is possible that it could be a track for Wayne’s forthcoming Tha Carter IV. (Representatives for Wayne and Young Money did not respond to requests for comment.)

This would hardly be the first time Yeezy and Weezy have teamed up for a track. Wayne appeared on “Barry Bonds,” a song from West’s 2007 album Graduation, and West added a verse to the official remix of Wayne’s hit “Lollipop” in 2008.

Kanye has also collaborated with Wayne as a producer on a handful of tracks including “Let the Beat Build,” a highlight from Tha Carter III. However, it seems more likely from Banger and Short Dawg’s tweets that the two were both focused on rapping in the session.
