Nine Inch Nails Tops 2005 Coachella Bill
Coldplay and Nine Inch Nails will headline the sixth edition of the Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California, on April 30th and May 1st. As in past years, the roster includes a mix of up-and-coming bands (Arcade Fire, the Futureheads, Tegan and Sara), established acts (Weezer, Wilco, Bright Eyes) and alt-rock godfathers (Bauhaus, New Order, Gang of Four).
Tickets are priced at $80 for one day or $150 for both. “Each year seems to have a pretty amazing lineup,” says Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, who is playing the festival for the first time. “It’s a weird tradition of nontradition. I’m sure I’ll be overdressed. I’m going to wear a burka.”
