The Eagles Plot Tour in Support of New Documentary
The Eagles will launch a North American tour this summer in support of a recent documentary about the band, History of the Eagles, which premiered at Sundance in January and aired on Showtime last month.
The History of the Eagles Tour kicks off on July 6th at Louisville, Kentucky’s KFC Yum! Center and will take the band through Canada and back down the East Coast.

The History of the Eagles documentary – which uses archival film, concert footage and rare home movies to chronicle the band’s career – will also be released on DVD and Blu-ray on April 30th. The three-disc set will come with a previously unreleased concert film, Eagles Live at the Capital Centre – March 1977, that was shot in Washington, D.C. during the band’s Hotel California tour.
Tickets for all shows (except two dates Cleveland and Philadelphia) will go on sale March 28th at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.
