Adele Discusses Inspirations For New Album ’21’: A Friend’s Drug Addiction and Her Own Mistakes
British pop singer opens up about her sophomore record
In this clip, British pop singer Adele — best known for her 2008 hit single “Chasing Pavements” — talks a bit about each track from her brand new album 21. She’s incredibly candid in the interview, explaining that the track “He Won’t Go” was inspired by a friend overcoming an addiction to heroin, and how “Don’t You Remember” came about when she realized how badly she had been representing someone she cares about in some of her previous songs.
