Buy Nook, Get $100 in Free Books, Study Guides
Students who buy Barnes & Noble’s Nook eReader as part of their back to school shopping will receive $100 in free classic books, plus several complementary study guides and apps.
To qualify for the promotional offer, pupils must buy a Nook (first edition or new model) or Nook Color by September 11, priced at $139 and $249 respectively, and register the device. Upon doing so, participants will receive an email from the bookseller allowing them to claim their 12 free eBook gifts, which include digital conversions of “Beowulf,” “Ivanhoe” and “A Tale of Two Cities.” Users can also pick from a number of Spark Notes studying guides to literary masterworks like “War and Peace,” “The Great Gatsby” and “The Catcher in the Rye.”
Barnes & Noble will additionally provide three Nook Study Guides as part of the offer as well. Featured selections include “50 Survival Tips: How to Win at College,” “25 Tips for Living Up a Semester Abroad,” and “25 Tips for Landing an Internship.”
Four apps are being served up gratis too, such as news reader Pulse, utilities Fliq Notes and Fliq Tasks and vocabulary-enhancing application Nook Word of the Day.
