Kendrick Lamar Takes Over ‘Arsenio Hall Show’
Kendrick Lamar stopped by the new Arsenio Hall Show last night for an appearance that included a performance and an extended interview with Hall. During the interview, Lamar remembered seeing Dr. Dre and Tupac in his neighborhood as a child and aspiring to their success. Years later, he said, he was in the studio with Dre and brought up the scene.

“Dre remembered all the little kids,” Lamar told Hall. “And I told him, I was one of them little kids.”
Later, Lamar took the stage to perform a pair of songs, including “Collard Greens” with Schoolboy Q. The Compton MC hung back near the drums, dancing and mouthing along to the words while Schoolboy opened the song off his upcoming album Oxymoron. When Lamar’s turn came, he commanded the stage with his rapid-fire verses while Schoolboy looked on, moving to the beat.
