Laura Palmer’s ‘Twin Peaks’ House Up For Sale
If you’re looking for a humble new abode where you can sit down with a slice of cherry pie and a damn fine cup of coffee — or encounter the evil demon who has taken over your body — the fictional home of Twin Peaks‘ Laura, Leland, and Sarah Palmer is up for sale, The AV Club reports.
12 Things We Learned from David Lynch’s Talk at BAM
Located at 708 33rd Street in Everett, Washington, the current asking price is just $549,950. Both the interior and exterior of the house were used in the David Lynch-directed pilot for the beloved TV show, as well as the film, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. While a different home in Monroe, Washington was used during the show’s two-season run, the Everett house still looks the same as it did 25 years ago — and even comes complete with Laura Palmer’s wicker rocking chair.
You can go on a virtual tour of the four-bedroom, one-and-a-half bath “Palmer residence” over at the home’s official listing, which for some inconceivable reason makes no mention of its (in)famous past.
If a half-million dollar home, however, is out of your price range, you can still own a bit of Twin Peaks history when the show and movie get the Blu-ray box set treatment on July 29th. Lynch personally supervised production of Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery, which includes both seasons of the show, as well the film prequel and 90 minutes of previously unseen deleted scenes and alternate takes from the movie that delve further into what happened before Laura Palmer’s murder.
“During the last days in the life of Laura Palmer many things happened, which have never been seen before,” Lynch said in a statement. “They’re here now alongside the new transfer of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me and Twin Peaks, the television series.”
