Duff McKagan Leaves Jane’s Addiction
Jane's Addiction and Duff McKagan have parted ways, just five months after the band recruited the former Guns N' Roses bassist to record their new album. "We wanted to thank Duff for helping us write songs for our new record," Jane's Addiction said in a statement. "We love the songs we worked on with him — and the gigs were a blast — but musically we were all headed in different directions. From here Duff is off to work on his own stuff so we wish him all the best." Perry Farrell also posted this on Twitter: "Jane's wishes Duff much luck with his band Loaded. What a fun time we all had working together." Jane's Addiction, who are scheduled to perform October 17th at a Tony Hawk benefit concert in Los Angeles, have not announced a replacement.
