Inspectors Checking Safety of ‘Spider-Man’ Musical
The flying and safety devices for the upcoming Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark musical will by inspected by the New York State Department of Labor today. Actor Kevin Aubin broke his wrists two weeks ago during rehearsals for the musical, which features music by U2’s Bono and the Edge and is expected to include complex acrobatic flying never before seen on Broadway. Gucci Mane Arrested Yet Again, Pepper-Sprayed
Oft-incarcerated rapper Gucci Mane is in jail again after being arrested Tuesday for obstruction and multiple traffic charges in Atlanta. Officers used pepper spray to subdue the MC (real name: Radric Davis) after he wouldn’t stop fighting with an unnamed person. He was taken first to the hospital for inspection before being transported to the Fulton County Jail, where he remained early Wednesday. Bond was set at $2,500. [Atlanta Journal-Constitution]
Prince NYC Concerts Sell Out in Half an Hour
Prince’s two December shows at Madison Square Garden—where he’ll lead an all-star revue featuring Janelle Monae, Maceo Parker, Sheila E. and others—sold out 30 minutes after going on sale Tuesday. Vince Neil Joins ‘Skating With the Stars’
Vince Neil has signed on to compete in ABC’s Skating With the Stars, starting November 22. He’ll team up with actress Sean Young against reality star Bethenny Frankel, Olympic gold-medal skier Jonny Moseley and others. The Motley Crue frontman skated competitively for two years as a youth. Neil skated competitively for two years as a youngster. “The first day I put on skates, I didn’t think I could do it. Within a half an hour, it was all coming back,” Neil, 49, said. Who knew? Are New Michael Jackson Tracks Fake?
Michael Jackson’s children believe that five of the songs slated for the forthcoming posthumous Jackson album are frauds, TMZ claims. However, Jackson’s estate says experts have deemed voice on the recordings to be Jackson’s, and people involved with the project reportedly have said the children are being “manipulated” by Jackson’s mother and others who don’t want the album released.
