From Memphis to Hollywood: Bootleg Vol. 2 — a collection of demos, B sides, non-album singles and live performances by Johnny Cash — will be released in February. The set will include previously unreleased demos from before Cash was signed to Sun Records, a radio session from 1955 recorded at KWEM in Memphis and outtakes from sessions produced by Sam Phillips and Jack Clement at Sun studios. The fourth day of preliminary hearings in the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, the doctor charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson, has yielded yet more bad news for the doctor’s defense. Dr. Richelle Cooper from the emergency room at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center testified yesterday that the pop star was dead long before arriving at the facility. This supports the prosecution’s case that Dr. Murray waited too long to act after discovering Jackson’s breathless body. [Billboard]
Big Boi Joins Animal Collective‘s Festival
Big Boi of Outkast has been added to the bill of an All Tomorrow’s Party festival curated by Animal Collective.
