Peter Green Selling Off Possessions
Peter Green, the excellent guitarist, once Fleetwood Mac‘s leading light and now working as a $50 a week hospital porter, has ordered his accountant to give his savings to charity. Gone is the E Type Jag and in its place is an old banger, and even that, says Peter, is going to go. “I don’t know what I’m going to do for the future. My ideas change from day to day. I want to get rid of my money. Money is a drag, it’s being happy that matters,” Peter told a reporter from the London Evening News, who had tracked him down. Peter, who has made it clear that he wants to be left alone, confirmed that he’s not playing music anymore. “Some days,” he said, “this job makes me very happy.”
