Watch: Exclusive Clip From ‘Kid Rock: Born Free’
Tuesday marks the release of Born Free, Kid Rock‘s eighth studio abum and first since 2007’s triple-platinum Rock N’ Roll Jesus. The Rick Rubin-produced album contains cameos by Zac Brown, T.I., Martina McBride, Bob Seger and Sheryl Crow. Rock told Rolling Stone
that the album was “focused on great songs, and the things that I feel close to.”
On Tuesday at 11:30 a.m., the documentary Kid Rock: Born Free will debut on CMT, with showings on Vh1 and MTV scheduled for later in the week. The documentary will also be streamed at MTV.com, Vh1.com and CMT.com beginning on November 16.
The documentary follows Rock during a two-day period where he visits with his family and friends before heading out on the road, culminating in a huge party at Rock’s farm in Clarkson, Michigan. In this exclusive preview clip, Kid Rock sits down for dinner with his son and talks about the importance of sharing family time even when he’s dealing with the hectic nature of life on the road.
