Trailer: 50 Cent’s Directorial Debut “Before I Self Destruct”
And you thought 50 Cent couldn’t be in a worse movie than Righteous Kill this year: Behold, the trailer for the upcoming album-inspired film Before I Self Destruct, directed by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson himself. Don’t be fooled by the title: Self Destruct is not a harrowing urban drama about internal struggle or a science-fiction tale about a despondent android. It hits many of the same bases that Fiddy’s video game trailer does: Egregious montages of firearms? Check. Dialogue so bad it would make Scarface blush? Got that too. The one positive about this whole ordeal is that at least it casts Naughty By Nature’s Treach in a role. Before I Self Destruct is due for release on December 9th, the same day the album of the same name hit shelves. On a brighter note, Self Destruct the album promises to be marginally better than Self Destruct the film with producers like Dr. Dre, Eminem and Swizz Beatz on board.
