The Strokes Plan ‘Comedown Machine’ for March Release
The Strokes will release their upcoming fifth studio album, Comedown Machine, March 26th on RCA, with a minimal cover design that resembles an RCA demo tape. The New York City rockers also confirmed that first single “All the Time” is on its way, but did not specify a release date.

Word of the album title and artwork leaked out yesterday when a user on Reddit discovered them while messing with the band’s website code. User Andersonenvy picked through the sub-pages on the site, and uncovered what was supposed to be hidden code. “Well, basically – when people make websites they sometimes test them live online and try to hide it,” he explained. “But it’s not hidden enough to other people that can also make websites.”
The Strokes released the first track off Comedown Machine last week, posting “One Way Trigger” on Soundcloud for a free download. A Seattle radio station said they already had “All the Time” earlier this month, and their claims have seemingly been verified by the band’s announcement today.
Comedown Machine will be the Strokes’ follow-up to their 2011 LP Angles.
