Weekend Rock Question: What Album Are You Most Anticipating in 2013?
It’s difficult to look ahead in the music world. Album release dates are often announced only six or so weeks in advance, and things shift around all the time, sometimes for years. (We’re looking at you, Dr. Dre.) This isn’t the case for movies. Right now, Hollywood is mapping out the summer of 2014, and this year’s blockbusters have been locked in for months. But the music world is a world of chaos.
That said, we have a question for you: What album are you most looking forward to in 2013? Feel free to base your vote on rumor and intuition. Eminem, Beyonce, Britney Spears, U2, Arcade Fire and Kanye West haven’t announced release dates or anything yet, but we’re fairly positive they’ll drop new albums sometime in 2013.
Atoms for Peace, Tegan and Sara, A$AP Rocky, Yo La Tengo, the Joy Formidable, Jim James, Matt Pond and LL Cool J have all been nice enough to actually tell the world when to expect their new albums. However, please don’t feel boxed in by these suggestions. Vote for whatever you want, but please only vote once and only for a single album.
