If You’re Never Gonna Move
Recycling three tracks from her club-indebted, Mercury Prize-nominated U.K. smash, Devotion – including the lush, luscious "Devotion" and "110%," retitled "If You're Never Gonna Move" – the five-song American debut from plucky Brit Jessie Ware is cautious but still enticing. The add-ons are a laptop- gleaming cover of Bobby Caldwell's 1978 quiet-storm hit, "What You Won't Do for Love," and a remix of the title track, which Ware producer Two Inch Punch remakes as unobtrusive downtempo. Both of them pale in comparison to U.K. newcomers Disclosure's sharp-stepping house remix of "Running," one of 2012's great dance jams – which isn't included here and should be.
