Ozzy Injured in ATV Accident
Ozzy Osbourne sustained numerous injuries and required emergency
surgery after he was involved in an all-terrain vehicle accident on
his Buckinghamshire estate in Southern England yesterday.
Osbourne broke eight ribs on his left side, a vertebra and his
left collarbone in the incident. Though he required surgery to
restore flow to a blood vessel that was damaged in the accident,
the fifty-five-year-old rocker/TV star was described as “stable and
comfortable” and resting at a London hospital.
The accident falls during a busy time for Osbourne. His duet
with daughter Kelly (a cover of Black Sabbath’s “Changes”) is a
contender for the U.K.’s much-publicized Christmas Number One.
Production also recently started on the third season of his
family’s popular The Osbournes reality television show.
And Osbourne also had a fall tour to reschedule; he cancelled the
dates to undergo treatment for an involuntary tremor.
And in other Osbourne/hospital news, Ozzy recently placed a
signed, limited-edition Down to Earth CD on eBay. Proceeds
from the auction will go to benefit the Cancer Hospital in
Brazil.
