Photo Gallery: Portraits from Linda McCartney
Tomorrow sees the opening of a show of Linda McCartney’s photographs at the James Hyman Gallery in London, and RollingStone.com has an exclusive preview of some of the work that will be on display. Paul McCartney, along with daughter Mary and art historian Hyman, has been working on curating this show for three years. “An exhibition presenting the range of Linda’s photographic work is long overdue, so I’m obviously pleased that this show is happening,” explains Paul. “The photographs not only illustrate her incredible talent as an artist, but as someone who was very much connected to the culture of the times, and wasn’t afraid to challenge herself or her subject.” The photos are a mix of candid shots at home and behind the scenes shots of the likes of Mick Jagger, John Lennon and Pete Townshend.
