Eminem Home Doesn’t Sell
Though it reportedly drew bids of up to $12 million, after all bogus offers were filtered out, one of Eminem‘s childhood has been taken off the auction block since it failed to garner its minimum on eBay over the weekend.
The Warren, Michigan, three-bedroom was purchased in June from Eminem’s uncle, Todd Nelson, for $45,000 by Sebastian Lucido and Roland Fraschetti, who had it appraised at $91,000. The pair put it up for sale online December 5th, setting the minimum bid at $120,000. According to the sellers, the two story house on Timken Avenue was built in 1940 and was purchased by the rapper’s great-grandmother in 1952. “Every time Eminem’s mom got kicked out of a place, this was the home they’d go to,” Lucido told Rolling Stone. “People think that it must be the ghetto, but it’s actually very nice, which kind of flies in the face of the image Eminem likes to portray.”
For potential “Stan”s with pockets too shallow for Eminem’s former home, one of the rapper’s toilets is now available on eBay. The commode, which requires a minimum opening bid of $100, is backed up by the seller who claims to have the invoice for the replacement toilet as well as a copy of the check signed by Marshall Mathers. Buyers should be aware that they pay shipping on the item.
Should this auction prove more fruitful than the childhood home, the seller has three additional toilets for future sale.
