Voice’ Duo The Swon Brothers Talk Shelton, Sexiness
Voice alums the Swon Brothers are preparing to release their full-length major-label debut, and their single “Later On” is already a bona fide country hit. (It racked up the most one-week adds of any debut single in Country Aircheck history when it was released this past March.) But despite hitting the big-time, the fun-loving Okies from Muskogee haven’t changed one bit since they charmed their way into America’s hearts, and the grand finale, on The Voice Season 4. They’re as hilarious as ever, as their new interview for Yahoo Music’s Reality Rocks proves.
Whether they’re dishing about the weirdly random text messages they get from their former coach and fellow Oklahoman, Blake Shelton, or humblebragging about making People magazine’s list of Sexiest Country Men, Zach and Colton Swon are so funny, they really ought to have their own reality show — or sitcom! But at the end of the day, the brothers really just want to be taken seriously as musicians, carrying on a proud, harmony-laden tradition established by their country-rock heroes, like the Eagles, Lonestar, Diamond Rio, Little Texas, and Brooks & Dunn.
