Snoop Dogg Gets “Rhythm”
Snoop Dogg will release his seventh studio set, R&G: (Rhythm and Gangsta) The Masterpiece, on November 16th.
R&G is the follow-up to Snoop’s 2002 album, Paid tha Cost to Be tha Boss. Since then, the rapper has busied himself with touring, acting (he appeared in the comedy Soul Plane earlier this year) and coaching, as he launched Snoop Dogg’s Youth Football Camp (“Learn how to pimp game on the football field,” a statement promised) in June.
The new set also finds Snoop pairing his Doggy Style label with the Neptunes’ Star Trak. The Neptunes are among the album’s producers, and the record will also include an appearance by the Gap Band’s Charlie Wilson.
Snoop will likely showcase some of his new rhymes this summer on Linkin Park’s Projekt Revolution Tour. The thirty-two-date outing will also include performances by Korn, M.O.P., Ghostface, Less Than Jake and the Used.
