Play Based On Dylan’s Work To Open In San Francisco
What started as a student project was given the OK by Bobby, and is set to hit the stage
Dylan: Words and Music, a play based on the work of Bob Dylan, will open this April in San Francisco. Dylan has authorized the production, something he had never done for a dramatic project based on his life of work. Compiled and directed by Peter Landecker, Dylan: Words and Music started out as a student project at UCLA, where it was performed five years ago. Bob Johnston, who produced such classic Dylan LPs as Blonde on Blonde and Highway 61 Revisited, will serve as musical director. Bob Miles, a thirty-five-year-old actor-musician from New York, will play Dylan.
