Roxette Announce First U.K. Show in 17 Years
The Swedish pop band Roxette have announced that they will be playing their first U.K. concert in 17 years at London’s Wembley Arena on November 15th as part of a 2011 world tour. The band had been sidelined for much of the past decade, ever since singer Marie Fredriksson was treated for a brain tumor in 2002. The group has yet to schedule dates in North America. [AOL UK]

Elvis Costello, the Decemberists and Emmylou Harris have been announced as the headliners of the Newport Folk Festival, which will be held on July 30th and 31st in Newport, Rhode Island. Street Drummer Sues MTV For Nicki Minaj Documentary
A street drummer known as Mike Alaska is suing MTV and their parent company Viacom, claiming that the company violated his privacy and ruined his reputation by including a brief glimpse of him performing in the special Nicki Minaj: My Time Now, which debuted in December. The drummer feels that his sideline gig as a drum teacher was damaged by his connection to the profane rapper. [Billboard]
Yo La Tengo Announce More ‘Spinning Wheel’ Tour Dates
Indie rock institution Yo La Tengo have announced a new round of dates for their Spinning Wheel tour, in which audience members determine the course of the show by spinning a wheel. (Elvis Costello, who did a “Spinning Songbook” tour in 1986, will embark on another in May.) The wheel provides several options for the show, from all-instrumental sets to the group performing the script to an episode of Seinfeld, as they did at a recent gig in Chicago. The new dates include shows in Brooklyn, Denver and Minneapolis, as well as a handful of performances in the U.K. [Pitchfork]
