Defiant Hank Williams Jr. Cuts New Song
Hank Williams, Jr., is set to rush-release a song in response to the recent controversy that got him ousted from his 20-year association with Monday Night Football. “I’ll Keep My…” will address the reactions to the singer’s inflammatory comments about President Obama last week on Fox & Friends, in which he compared Obama’s golf game with House Speaker John Boehner to Hitler and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu golfing together.
“So Fox & Friends want to put me down/ Ask for my opinion, twist it all around/ Well, two can play that gotcha game, you’ll see,” the lyrics read. The song also suggests that fans stop watching Fox and ESPN, the Monday Night Football network.
Williams has scheduled a new round of interviews, including The View and Hannity on Tuesday. He’s making the most of the publicity: on his website the singer is now selling T-shirts that read “Hank Jr. for President.”
