AROE’s Plane
Brighton, England by AROE MSK HA 7th Letter.
The artist tells Rolling Stone, "The Beastie Boys had always been a massive influence on me throughout my life after first hearing them – and then seeing them – in 1987 at Brixton Academy. Their ability to fuse so many types of music and evolve effortlessly stood them ahead of their peers in hip-hop. Often taking big risks to create something new – something I identify with whilst trying to push my painting. Music has lost a true creative pioneer. I wanted to extend my condolences to Adam Yauch's family and friends at this time by painting something that truly represented the impact that the Beastie Boys had on my generation here in the UK."
