Madonna Tour Rakes In $91.5 Million, On Pace For Records
Madonna‘s Sticky & Sweet tour grossed $91.5 million during its recently concluded U.S. run. According to Live Nation, which signed the Material Girl to a massive 360 contract, Madonna’s U.S. jaunt sold about 550,000 tickets over the course of 28 shows. The tour wrapped up its American itinerary last Wednesday with a show at Miami’s Dolphin Stadium. Including the European concerts that preceded the American dates, the Sticky & Sweet tour has thus far grossed $207.5 million in ticket sales alone. Madonna played two shows in Mexico City this past weekend and will head south to Latin and South America, concluding her tour in Sao Paolo, Brazil on December 18-21. If all goes to plan, the Hard Candy-supporting trek will take in an estimated $282 million, making it the top grossing tour ever by both a female artist and a solo artist, which will no doubt help Madonna brush off her recent divorce settlement.
