Paramore’s Williams Admits Band Has “Internal Issues,” Plus More From Her RS Q&A
There appears to be trouble in paradise for the kids in Paramore. Today frontwoman Hayley Williams blogged about the cancelation of the rest of the dates on their European tour, citing “internal issues” as a problem. The apologetic post (addressed to fans, specifically those who had tickets to nixed shows) noted that there have been unspoken tensions within the band since the beginning of their U.S. tour last year, and those conflicts have come to a head. There was no indication that the band would be breaking up, though it appears as though they want to be ready for their co-headlining tour with Jimmy Eat World, which is scheduled to launch April 1st in San Antonio, TX. Williams writes, “If we can use this next month wisely then we will be a lot healthier for the tours ahead. We hope that — even though it might be hard to understand — that you guys can support us at this time.”
Williams gave no indication that her Grammy-nominated band was facing a rough patch when she spoke with Rolling Stone for our current issue. Check out the print edition to find out how Williams evolved from an ‘NSync fanatic to a New Found Glory devotee, and how she approaches lyric writing as a devout Christian.
