Lennon Tribute Delayed
The star-packed Come Together: A Night for John Lennon tribute concert, which was scheduled for September 20th at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, has been postponed in light of last week’s terrorist attacks.
A new date for the event — which was to feature performances of John Lennon songs by Stone Temple Pilots, Beck, Alanis Morissette, Nelly Furtado, Shelby Lynne, Moby, Lou Reed, Seal, Cyndi Lauper and Marc Anthony — will be set in the near future.
According to Radio City, tickets already purchased will be valid for the rescheduled date, with refunds also available at point of purchase. Come Together is part of TNT’s Master Series, which has previously honored musicians including Brian Wilson, Joni Mitchell, Bob Marley and Johnny Cash. The Lennon tribute will benefit the Violence Policy Center and the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence and will air on TNT.
