AC/DC Plan Huge World Tour Following Album Release
At a touring panel yesterday, their management announced that AC/DC are planning on embarking on a massive 18-month world tour starting in October. The trek will be in support of the Aussie hard rockers' new album, the group's first since 2000's Stiff Upper Lip. The will be sold exclusively in the States at Wal-Mart, though it still lacks a definite release date. Expect the first single to be out some time next month. Creative Artists Agency manager partner Rob Light also shed some light on some more huge tours that'll hit the road in the near future, including Mariah Carey's "elaborate" shows, Green Day, Depeche Mode, Miley Cyrus, Stevie Wonder and the return of the best tour of 2007. "We have a great idea for Kiss to go out and do big arena tour," Light added. Additionally, other tour promoters said Weezer, the Killers, Journey and Plain White T's will also head out on extensive jaunts.
