Topless Photos of Britney Spears From “Gimme More” Shoot Surface
A series of photos that appear to depict a nude Britney Spears have been unearthed by British tabloid News of the World, just in time to celebrate the singer’s return to the U.K. with her Circus tour. The photos were reportedly taken on set during the 2007 video shoot for the Blackout single “Gimme More,” where the then-troubled singer pole-danced while sporting fake tattoos and black hair.

In the latter half of the “Gimme More” video there’s a series of quick cutaway shots that show Britney topless with her back to the camera or her arm covering her bare top, so if the photos are legit it’s likely they are video stills of outtakes from the shoot. And despite Brit’s smiles, the photos capture Spears during a difficult stretch: the “Gimme More” video premiered just a month after Spears performed an ill-fated version of the track at the 2007 MTV Music Awards. Four days before the “Gimme More” video debut in October 2007, Spears lost custody of her two sons.
Spears is also settling a lawsuit brought by her former manager, Johnny Wright, the Los Angeles Times reports. Wright handled Britney’s affairs from 1999 to 2003, and claimed Spears breached their contract and withheld payment he was due through last year, the paper reports.
Spears kicked off eight nights of Circus shows at London’s O2 Arena on June 3rd, with the final O2 show on June 14th before the singer heads north to Ireland. She recently shot a new video, for “Radar,” which was directed by Dave Meyers.
