David Bowie Selects His Favorite Songs For Pay Version of Free Comp
David Bowie has handpicked his favorite songs from his own discography for the upcoming compilation iSELECT: BOWIE. Each track is accompanied with Bowie detailing why he selected the song through personal reflections and insight. The compilation was originally featured as a supplementary CD in the June 29th addition of the U.K.’s Mail On Sunday, but all editions quickly sold out and became collector’s items, so Bowie will rectify the problem with a worldwide physical and digital release on October 14th. To make it up to the fans of Low, Station to Station and Space Oddity who might be disappointed that the Thin White Duke didn’t select any tracks from those albums, Bowie has included two semi-exclusive tracks for this collection: the Low-era outtake “Some Are” (previously available on the old school Rykodisc version of the album) and Bowie’s own remix of the Never Let Me Down cut “Time Will Crawl.” Follow the jump for a full track listing.
