My Bloody Valentine to Reissue Catalog
Iconic shoegaze band My Bloody Valentine will finally reissue its influential back catalog on May 7th. In addition to expanded packages of 1988’s Isn’t Anything and 1991’s Loveless, the quartet’s four cherished EPs will be collected for the first time with rarities, non-LP tracks and unreleased material as the two-CD set EPs 1988-1991.
According to Pitchfork, both proper albums, originally issued by Creation Records in Britian, were remastered by MBV mastermind Kevin Shields at London’s Metropolis Studios for release via Sony. Isn’t Anything is a straight reissue, while Loveless will be packaged as a two-disc set to include a previously unreleased version of the album that Shields mastered from the original analog tapes.
The sequence for the reissues of Isn’t Anything and both versions of Loveless will be unchanged from the versions that have been available for years. The track listing for EPs 1988-1991 is as follows:
