Diana Ross Convicted of DUI
Diana Ross was convicted of driving under the influence and sentenced to two days in jail.
The fifty-nine-year-old former Supreme was arrested in Tucson, Arizona, on December 30, 2002, after police pulled her over for driving southbound in a northbound lane. Ross’ blood alcohol level was 0.2 percent, more than double the state’s legal limit. Ross pleaded no contest to a single DUI charge, causing two other charges to be dropped. Ross did not appear in court yesterday, instead phoning in for her sentencing.
Ross’ sentence requires her to serve a forty-eight-hour sentence before March 9th and to undergo alcohol abuse treatment before August 9th. She also received a year of probation and fines in excess of $800.
