A Silent Film Follows a Starlet’s Heartbreak in ‘Harbour Lights’ – Premiere
Oxford alt-rockers A Silent Film are currently crossing North America in support of their latest effort, Sand and Snow, released this June on Creative Media and EMI. Now the band’s got a new video for their enchanting sing-along track “Harbour Lights,” which intersperses shots of the band playing the cut with the story of a young starlet struggling to forget a lost love.
“‘Harbour Lights,’ I felt, had such a timeless message I wanted to capture and the band supported my vision 100 percent,” director Emma Holly Jones tells Rolling Stone. “It felt like a collaboration and the whole production was so smooth from start to finish. The band are so talented and honestly, it was hard to wipe the smile off my face watching their performances on the monitor. They have something special and I hope I have done justice in capturing that.”
