Stones Turn 92: Watts and Wood Celebrate Birthdays in Berlin
The drummer and guitarist are 49 and 43
There were ninety-two candles on the birthday cake presented to Charlie Watts and Ron Wood – who turned forty-nine and forty-three respectively – at the Kempinski Hotel, in Berlin, during a stopover on the Rolling Stones‘ Urban Jungle Tour. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards serenaded the birthday boys with a rocking version of “Happy Birthday.” The bash, attended by 150 guests, wound down at four in the morning – just like in the good old days.
