Phish Hook Next Bootleg Set
The Live Phish series will expand on May 20th with the
next four volumes of full concert recordings by the Vermont jam
band.
Bassist Mike Gordon was responsible for selecting the latest
batch of shows, choosing the four concerts based on his journal
entries for more than 1,000 Phish concerts between 1983 and 2000.
Live Phish 17 catches the band at a July 1998 gig in
Portland, Oregon, with some material from a Missouri show later
that month as filler on Disc Three. Live Phish 18 is also
a three-CD set, composed of a May 1994 Dallas performance with
additional songs from an earlier show in Columbia, Missouri. Both
Live Phish 19 and Live Phish 20 are two-CD sets
culled from a 1991 show in Keene, New Hampshire, and Providence,
Rhode Island, respectively. The former was a stop on the band’s
Horns Tour, which found the four-piece backed by the Big Country
Horns.
The Live Phish series debuted in the fall of 2001 with
six releases. The band pushes archival material out of its vaults
twice a year for the collection. As for more recent shows, Phish
have made recordings of their reunion tour, which launched in
January, available for purchase, download and burning through

On July 7th, the group will hit the road yet again for a summer
tour, starting in Phoenix.
