Britney Spears Fan Arrested for Crashing Stage at “Circus” Show
An overeager Britney Spears fan took audience participation to an illegal level at last night’s Circus concert at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Arena. A drunk man rushed the stage and attempted to dance with Spears during her performance of “Womanizer.” After reaching the plateau of the center-ring stage and coming face to face with Britney, 20-year-old Kyle King was promptly met by a combination of Spears’ back-up dancers and security guards, who escorted King off the stage and into the open arms of the police. King was booked on charges of breach of peace and interfering with police after he was uncooperative with the cops. He was released on $250 bail but faces a June 18th court date.
TMZ has video of the incident, and it’s pretty amusing. King makes his way onto the second tier of the stage unmolested, with one of the backup dancers moving out of his way so he could approach Britney. King actually gets some dance moves in with his idol, and Britney sort of reciprocates with what looks like a calm, playful two-step. Ironically, a female back-up dancer dressed as a police officer is the first to apprehend King. Though marijuana smoke in Vancouver delayed that Circus stop, Spears did not let her overeager fan halt her last song at Mohegan.

As for possible motives, King was quite inebriated according to the Connecticut State Police, so that might have something to do with the impetuous stage charge. Or maybe he just wanted to see for himself whether Britney was actually singing or lip-synching. When Rock Daily caught Spears’ concert at New York’s Nassau Coliseum, the show had another unexpected guest: Madonna. However, instead of crashing the stage, the Material Girl opted instead to leave before the show ended.
