Guess Who
Don't get too heated about remaking 1967's Guess Who's Coming to Dinner with a race switch. Except for the sparks between Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy in their final screen teaming, the movie was a crock, even with the young Sidney Poitier as their daughter's beau. The new Guess is a crock, too, but Bernie Mac is fun as the huff daddy whose daughter (Zoe Saldana) hooks up with a white boy (Ashton Kutcher). And his easy rapport with a dialed-down Kutcher works against the cliched script and the hard-sell direction. Guess what? It's almost bearable.
