Coachella 2011: Glasser Electronica band on playing live
“I’ve only been making music for the past three years,” Cameron Mesirow of the Brooklyn electronica band Glasser told Rolling Stone at the Coachella festival on Sunday. “I really wanted to make music for a long time, but I was a little scared and I needed to come into my own a little bit.”

Mesirow explained that she’s found a way to translate her music to the stage by putting together a MIDI band, with all the members playing synthesizer versions of traditional instruments. “Presenting my music live has been a really big challenge, just because there are so many different sounds that need to be reproduced in order to play it just as it is on the record, and I wasn’t really thinking about it when I was making it,” she said.
