Gorillaz Unleash Latest Chapter in ‘Plastic Beach’ Saga
On the Gorillaz’s most recent album Plastic Beach, mastermind Damon Albarn pushes his post-human cartoon rock saga to the next level. After burning down the group’s headquarters, Kong Studios, Murdoc escaped and set up camp on a floating island of plastic trash, where he recorded the new disc. His life was far from drama-free, though — he pocketed the insurance money from the fire, and has been dodging assassins who have been pursuing him ever since.
In the band’s upcoming video for “On Melancholy Hill,” the saga turns possibly deadly: Click above to watch a teaser for the clip, which hits iTunes next week. For more pieces of the Gorillaz puzzle, watch their video for “Stylo” and one of the first teasers for Plastic Beach.
