‘Boardwalk Empire’ Renewed for Fourth Season
Boardwalk Empire will return to HBO for a fourth season, network president of programming Michael Lombardo announced today.
Creator “Terry Winter, [executive producer] Martin Scorsese and the rest of their outstanding team continue to produce a stunning show that never fails to surprise and entertain,” Lombardo said in statement. “We are excited to bring this unique series back for a fourth season.”
The show – which stars Steve Buscemi as Atlantic City’s notorious Prohibition-era head honcho Enoch “Nucky” Thompson – recently picked up four Emmy awards and began its third season a few weeks back. There’s no word yet on when production will begin for the fourth season, or when it would premiere.
