Family Members Fight at Home of Michael Jackson’s Mother
Various members of the Jackson family were involvde in a fight at the home of Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine, yesterday, reports the Los Angeles Times. A spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that no arrests were made in the incident, saying, “Lost Hills deputies responded to a family disturbance at the home of Katherine Jackson in the city of Calabasas. Deputies determined that a physical altercation had occurred, a battery. It involved members of the Jackson family.” The names of those involved were not released. Police later confirmed that the fight did not involve the children of Michael Jackson.
Over the weekend, Katherine Jackson’s nephew Trent filed a missing persons report after Michael’s children claimed they had been unable to contact her for a week. Michael’s daughter, Paris, said in multiple tweets that her grandmother had been missing, pleading for Katherine’s return. However, Michael’s brother Jermaine tweeted that Katherine is “safe and well in Arizona” and is “resting up on doctor’s advice.” Though Jermaine later tweeted that the L.A. County Police had dropped the case, Paris continues to tweet about her grandmother’s apparent absence, writing today, “9 days and counting. . . so help me god i will make whoever did this pay.”
