Reznor’s How to Destroy Angels Ready Free Debut EP for June
How to Destroy Angels, Trent Reznor‘s side project with wife Mariqueen Maandig, will release their debut self-titled EP June 1st as a free download, which can be pre-ordered now through the HDTA site. The group is also offering up the song “The Believers” as a free download immediately. Check out a stream of the track and the EP’s artwork over at the HDTA site. Reznor, one of music’s biggest audiophiles, will make available Hi-Def Upgrades of the EP (WAV, FLAC and Apple Lossless formats) along with a download of the video for “The Space in Between” for a low $2. The physical version of the EP will be released July 6th with a vinyl release to follow.
As Rolling Stone previously reported, How to Destroy Angels is the first collaboration between Reznor and Maandig, who are joined by NIN contributor Atticus Ross on the EP. Reznor, in a Facebook Q&A with fans earlier this month, said the EP is just the start for his new project: he said the group has an album planned for release early next year and the band will tour to “some degree.” Still, Reznor promises that his new project does not mean an end to NIN. “NIN is not dead,” he said. “I am about to work on some material that I believe will be quite different than previous NIN very soon.”
