Jagger Settles with Model
After almost two years of negotiations, Mick Jagger and Brazilian model Luciana Morad have reached a financial settlement regarding their twenty-one-month-old son, Lucas.
Morad, thirty, initially demanded $35,000 a month in child support, while the Rolling Stones frontman offered $10,000 a month. Details of the settlement, which were hammered out in Manhattan Family Court on February 6th, were kept confidential, but the settlement will also provide for Morad’s legal bills and ensures that Jagger will pay for his son’s schooling and medical bills until he reaches twenty-one.
“I’m relieved. I’m glad this is over,” Morad told reporters after exiting the New York City court. “I feel I’ve done the best I can do monetarily and emotionally.” Jagger, fifty-seven, did not attend the proceeding but consented to the terms via speakerphone from London. Both Morad’s attorney Raoul Felder and Jagger’s lawyer John Vassallo refused to comment on the settlement.
